Two applications developed by ISERN Medical Telecom have been chosen to be presented at Mobile World Congress
Two applications developed by ISERN Medical Telecom, Alexia and IS-Quality Control, have been chosen to be presented at the stand of Mobile World Capital Barcelona – initiative promoted by both Spanish and Catalan governments and GSMA, among other institutions- in the Mobile World Congress, held in Barcelona. More than 85.000 professionals of the mobile phone technology from 201 different countries have visited the edition of the world’s mobile Congress.
The company ISERN, specialised in the telecommunications services at hospital rooms, provides television, telephone and Internet services to more than 25.000 hospital beds of Spain and Italy. From their IDeTICS centre (unit of Research and Development of ICTs applied to Sanity, for its Spanish acronym), the first of this type in Spain, ISERN works in the development of innovative and quality solutions for Hospitals.
The new technology Alexia has been designed to computerize hospital rooms. It is based on the installation of clinical bedside stations, allowing specific features for health staff, such as access to patient medical record, vital signs data collection, visualization and request of diagnostic tests, etc., as well as improving the management of Hospitals key processes (check in – check out process, maintenance service...). Alexia also allows the real-time monitoring of the status of the room by sending alerts directly from the station to the mobile of the responsible staff.
To complement Alexia, the mobile App IS- Quality Control allows the management and quality control of any equipment installed at Hospitals. The App has been developed on Android OS and it is based on the new technology NFC to register and locate the performed actions. IS-Quality Control is currently implanted in 75 Hospitals of Spain and Italy. The new applications expand the area of action of ISERN in the health sector, still focusing their efforts on providing new specific communication services to hospital rooms, to improve the information and value to their customers.
